FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

 

In an effort to assure that there are no misunderstandings, we have outlined some points of potential confusion concerning orders.

Cake Pops

 

A cake pop is cake that is fully baked. It is then crumbled and mixed with icing. This gives it a truffle/cookie dough-like consistency. They are then hand rolled or sculpted and dipped in vanilla or chocolate candy. 

Price 

 

Pricing depends on design difficulty. If you would like an estimate please fill out the order inquiry form with a description of exactly

what you want and you will receive a price quote. The minimum order is $100. 

 

Basic cake pops (swirls, sprinkles, plain or sanding sugar) are

$3 ea

 

Custom cake pops START at $3.25  ea 

 

Detailed character cake pops start at $6 ea

Down Payment/Retainer

 

To ensure the date for your order you must pay the non-refundable retainer of 50% when placing the order. The Cake Pop shop will not hold a date without an actual order and retainer. Payment is required 48 hours after the invoice is sent unless there is a different agreement. If there is a different agreement it will be outlined in the detailed invoice. If the retainer is not paid within 48 hours or the agreed-upon date your order will be canceled and the time slot will become available to the next customer. You will not be notified of this, it is done automatically. If you wish to wait to place your order, dates do book fast, and there is no guarantee, to save your date, so we encourage promptness. NO order is saved until the retainer is paid.

Retainers and Payments

 

After your order is finalized and you receive a detailed invoice of your order, having agreed to it, I will send the retainer invoice via PayPal. You do not have to have a PayPal account to pay the invoice, you can pay a guest but additional info like the billing address will be required. Paypal will accept the payment securely. Only ONE Paypal invoice will be sent. If you want to pay for the entire order on a card you must pay it all upfront. If you chose to pay only the retainer the remaining balance is due in cash the day of pick up/delivery. If you request a second invoice you will be charged the service fees for the invoice, 3% plus .30. The Cake Pop Shop does not accept checks. If there are any questions or concerns please let us know I’m sure we can figure out how to work something out that works for you.

In the event you cancel or change the date: The 50% retainer is nonrefundable. We will hold the retainer on your account and it can be applied towards a future order. Please remember all orders including rescheduled orders are subject to availability. We, at The Cake Pop Shop, understand circumstances arise and we try to work with you on an individual basis but please remember we are a business. When you cancel your order the supplies have already been bought with the retainer, and we not only lose the money from your order we have lost potential customers that have been turned away due to your order being on the calendar. Orders cannot always be moved to a different date if that date is booked. We will try our best to accommodate you but it may not be possible to fit you into a different slot.


Changes

 

All changes must be made a week before the order is delivered/picked up. We cannot guarantee we can make those changes, ie add more, but we will try. The sooner you inform us about any changes you need to make the better your chances of getting them. Earlier pick-up times are typically not met when not given at least a week's notice. 

Last-Minute Orders

 

The Cake Pop Shop requires a minimum of two weeks' notice for an order. Keep in mind that our schedule books up 2-4 weeks in advance. Under two weeks? Don't lose heart, we can on occasion, accommodate last-minute orders. If you are trying to place an order with less than a week's notice (and the time slot is available) the total amount of the order is required. You have until the end of the day to place the order and pay the retainer.
Pick Up and Deliveries

 

Delivery is available for a fee and must be set up at the time the order is placed. If picking up please keep in mind that products are weather-sensitive and made with ingredients that can easily melt. Handle with care. Keep in a cool area out of direct sunlight. Please come in a vehicle that has AC; if it does not please bring a cooler (with ice or ice packs). It is not recommended that cake pops be displayed outdoors during the late spring through early fall months. Avoid direct sunlight at all costs.  Heat and sunlight are NOT the friends of a cake pop, not even for a minute. Each cake pop is painstakingly detailed we'd hate to see all that work be ruined before you and your guest get to enjoy it. The customer assumes responsibility upon pick up and after delivery. Pick-up is located adjacent to the St John’s Towncenter

Colors and Designs

 

When placing your order please provide exact details of what you are envisioning. Pictures, Pinterest boards, and color names are always welcome! We want to make your cake pop dreams come true and that means we need your help. The more information you provide about you and your party the better. Please note that the colors and designs of the actual order may vary slightly from the images provided or sent to you, due to the difference in digital and edible components.
